Vulcan Reforged is a community for stories, vids, and other fanwork focused on the aftermath of the destruction of Vulcan and the attempted genocide of the Vulcan species. Stories and art dealing with the new Vulcan colony, the impact of Vulcan's new status in interstellar affairs on the wider Federation, or what it is like to be a Vulcan in the new galactic order are all welcomed. We also eagerly seek out recommendations of same, whether recs list or a single squeeful exclamation about this story we all must read right now.

We have a fairly simple tag structure. Please tag with the media, the important characters, and a warning. Media includes meta, fiction, icons, art, filk, etc. There are four warnings — warning: choose not to warn; warning: explicit violence, warning: explicit sex; warning: none.

This is the list of stories which prompted me to create this community. Every time I read one of these stories, I was prompted to comment to the creator: this is exactly the sort of story the movie left me wanting.

• The Word for World Is-- by laurajv: Humans would've named the planet New Earth and the places things like New Africa or New Russia. Vulcans did no such thing; they named the planet Vik: the well in the desert. They named the continents Ashv'cezh, Laktra, and Vrekasht: Revenge, Grief, and Outcast.
