Vulcans and intoxication

Additionally, I have a question. Do Vulcans get drunk off alcohol? Do they have a hugely high tolerance, but some Romulan ale will crack it? Or does alcohol have no effect at all? Do they get drunk but never never show it because their self control is that good? Enquiring minds want to know!

Vulcans and alcohol have gotten inconsistent treatment in canon. Spock makes a point of saying that Vulcan has been spared the dubious benefits of alcohol (or something to that effect) in TOS, but DS9 features Vulcan port. If you go here and scroll down to the "culture and tradition" section, there's a brief discussion of the matter.

As to whether or not they can get drunk, I think that's up to you. AFAIK, there's no canon evidence one way or another.

Memory-alpha (and, to a lesser extent, beta) has been my main source of Trek knowledge. I was afraid I was missing something, so I'm glad you can confirm that canon's been inconsistent on this. I suppose Vulcans would consider getting drunk to be illogical, so they'd have to get drunk by accident if at all.
